The key, economically speaking, to a stable democracy is encouraging small businesses and helping the middle class grow larger.

American foreign policy does not refuse to engage with the outside world, but it needs a realistic sense of limits or we gain a reputation for being both unreliable and arrogant. 

Systemic discrimination, abortion, the mistreatment of immigrants and the exploitation of illegal immigration by large corporations are offenses against personhood.

Making sure people who are in distress have access to medical care is critical, but to make it work with a liberal democracy, we need to keep the main principles of voluntary exchange, and transparency intact.

Stewardship of the land for future generations is both necessary and desirable.
